Site Safety Officer

• Ensuring that workers on the construction site adhere to rules and regulations regarding safety.
• Point-out safety hazards for correction.
• Identify health and safety concerns on the construction site.
• Investigate reported incidents and injuries.
• Communicate and discuss safety concerns.
• Advise unfamiliar safety concerns.
• Coordinate training, emergency and evacuate situations.
• Coordinate hazardous waste disposal.
• Coordinates assessments, and evaluations of the work area.
• Ensures that the site-safety program complies with Occupational Safety and Health Act and its regulations.
• Communicate to all on the required health and safety rules and regulations on the job site.
• Report any on-the-job accident or safety violation to the proper authorities.
• Conduct regular employee training sessions to update workers on safety procedures and responsibilities, as well as the importance of reporting a safety concern or injury.
• Act as a liaison between the company and OSH Agency.
The safety officer on the construction site applies their training in observation on all activities on the work-site to capture what is happening in order to make informed decisions, advice and make recommendations to prevent accidents or to find its cause.
