Site Safety Officer Training

Construction Safety is the management of all the activities, human and other resources to realize a safe completion of a project.
It is aimed to improve the process and maintain a safe work environment throughout a project, mainly to prevent accidents, injuries and ill-health to realize better-quality performance and fewer negative outcomes.
Instructive training can ensure a positive change in the behaviour and attitude of workers.
The training needs of the safety officer would be of a specific nature but not limited to the knowledge and skills required for normal worksite task/s. These needs can be identified according to the level of responsibility and the skill in relation to the worksite.
On the successful completion of this course, it will allow the participants to be empowered to administrate, supervise and participate in “hands on” tasks with a new worker or changes in the workplace, with other responsibilities to ensure that workers on the site adhere to rules and regulations regarding safety.
A site safety officer on the construction site can apply their observation training on all activities on the work-site to capture what is happening in order to make an informed decision and make recommendations to prevent accidents or to find the causes.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of this training, persons should be able to;
• Identify health and safety concerns on the site.

• Communicate and discuss safety concerns.
• Coordinate emergency and evacuate situations.
• Report any on-the-job accident or safety violation to the proper authorities.
